About Noreen
I am an academic, teacher, translator, poet, & writer living in the United States. I'm looking for jobs online and in Spain. In the fall of 2023, I began my doctoral studies in Indiana University's Literacy, Culture and Language Doctor of Education (EdD) program. In 2019, I earned a master’s degree (MA) in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Greensboro College.
Additionally, I hold a certificate in Spanish/English Translation from the University of Massachusetts-Boston in 2017, a TESOL certification from North Carolina State University in 2013, and a bachelor’s degree (BA) in Latin American Studies from The Evergreen State College in 2010. I have worked domestically and internationally as a teacher and interpreter and currently works in TESOL at the university level.
When not involved with education, I enjoy knitting, spinning and other assorted crafts. I volunteer at my local queer youth center and love to watch movies with my two dogs, Canela & Cholula. I am an avid reader of speculative fiction and hope to one day visit the set of Lord of the Rings in New Zealand with my wife.
